I apologize for the late update, but the wife and I took the triplets to the beach for a day of fun and sun. Apart from a broken beach umbrella and a broken beach chair, everything went well, but it does make me appreciate the great job Beth and Steve do day in and day out.
While we were doing that, Beth was continuing to make progress. She was moved once again. One of the nurses made an offhand remark that patients moved to that area of the hospital are getting ready to go home. None of the doctors have said anything about it, but it could be considered an encouraging sign. During the move Beth walked from her bed to the bed used to transport her, and she's able to get up and walk to the restroom when she needs to. Her epidural catheter came out, but the anesthesiologist decided not to put it back in. The new pain meds make her drowsy, but the nausea and dry heaves from the chemo are under control. Her eyes are still slightly puffy, but her color is better. Some signs of normalcy are starting to appear as well. Beth watched some Oprah and told Steve she wanted her cell phone. Overall, it was another good day.
If you haven't already, please make a comment in the Words of Encouragement post. I know Beth would love to hear from you. Thanks to those that have commented thus far.

Hi Beth,
I just finished writing a lengthy dissertation of my thoughts, prayers, insights and some things about a couple of books that I got for you at B&N. The dissertation was very thought-ful and took me about one hour in between customers. Then the moment came to send it - I thought it was good - signed in - hit the publish button and it disappeared. Totally, Voila no comment. I couldn't believe it and had to then laugh because once again - God had other plans.
I know that I cannot reconstruct that dissertation, (it was too good, teehee) but laugh at your windy old aunt and be assured that God is watching over you AGAIN!!!
Love you and will try an edited version tomorrow.
Hi Mike,
So nice of you and your wife to take the children for a day of fun. Me-Mom told me they had a lovely time...(i'm her cousin and talk to her about every other day). She was so glad to get the chance to visit Beth in the hospital. Robin's report was also a positive one.
That Beth, she sure is a trooper...nothing is going to keep her down. Thanks so much for "The Latest" we are all just dancing around here and thanking God for His Mercy. Our love and prayers continue, Arizona family.

Hi my beautiful friend!!!
I'm glad to hear things are going forward. We miss you tons! Natalie is having a tuff time not seeing the girls. We are moving forward with the summer. Evan learned how to swim "yahoo", Natalie is still trying. Austin is having a tuff summer...I'm trying to understand but sometimes I just can't seem to wrap my head around this Autism thing. We will just move forward and keep trying different things. I hope we get to see you soon and the kids. Evan got some new Star War Lego's for his birthday that I'm sure Ryan will just love. You are always in my thoughts and prayers. Love you much. Sending big hugs!!!!
