Finally at Home

Last night while dealing with her discomfort, Beth decided she wanted to come home. The ride home was the longest she'd been upright since before the surgery, and completely wiped her out. At the moment she's in her own bed with an iced tea, waiting for some medical equipment to arrive. A nurse will be there to get everything set up for her and to hook up her nutrition bag.

Earlier in the day the lab results came back for the fluid that was drained from Beth's abdomen. The fluid was not lymphatic, and it was determined to be the fluid your body produces when trauma occurs. Draining the fluid only prompts the body to produce more, so she'll just have to wait it out. Hopefully, being at home will speed up the process.

Beth, we're so glad you're home. Kat and I have been following your progress on the blog daily and multiple times a day when you were in the hospital. We so appreciate the fine Job Mike did of updating everyone. We've been praying for you and sending our most positive vibes. I know it's hard when you've endured so much already but its vital to maintain that positive attitude of yours and focus on what you need to do to get better. Know that every day you're getting stronger and are one step further on your path to recovery. I wish we were out there so I could give you a ride on the new Harley, when you're feeling better. The way I drive, it would probably help with any fluid retention issues, eh. We love you sweetie. feel better soon.

Beth, I'm so glad your home from the hospital! I hope your cancer has gone away for good so you can do Cannon Balls into our pool! We're all praying for you! We all had fun at Ryan, Kiley, and Jane's B-day Party!

I'm glad you are home too, Beth and know that just being in your own home will help your healing process. Tell your Dad I said Happy Birthday. Having his daughter home from the hospital is a very special gift for him. Please give my love to both your dad and mom, and all the family. I'll be checking your progress and hope that the fluids have begun to go down.
Love, Aunt Kathy
