On the Road Again
I spoke with Beth a few minutes ago as she and Steve drove home from the hospital. It was great to hear her voice was back to normal. It seems the recovery is finally progressing. Yesterday she sat outside with Steve while he had lunch. This morning as Beth returned to her room from a test Steve sent a text to my parents saying, "She is hell on wheels about going home." The doctors gave her some new meds for anxiety and blood pressure, and told her that if the fluid became a problem again she could go to the City of Hope's 24-hour clinic to have it drained. They also said they'd like to see her start eating a bit, so on the way home they picked up a burrito. She ate about half the burrito, and was feeling good enough that she considered going to the kids' swim lesson later today. Steve put the kibosh on that one though.

Hell on Wheels is a perfect description of our Beth...and thank God for it! Also, thank God she's got a husband like Steve to...slooooow her down. Beth, so glad you're feeling better, but, really think you need to listen to your dedicated and sensible husband. So happy you're home again...you'll feel much better now. Remember take it slow and easy ;). We love you so much, Your Arizona Family
God is good ALL the time!! What wonderful news!!! I'll pray that Beth has patience and doesn't try to overdo it!!
Hi Guys,
I was away for a few days and was just catching up on the blog. Wow what tough few days! So glad you are feeling better, Beth. I pray that each day will get easier and easier. Again you are amazing! And what an awesome husband you have. Thank you Mike for all the updates. It is such a blessing to be able to keep up with the progress. God Bless you all.
Love, Michelle
I spoke to Mrs. Janet earlier today and she gave me the updates. My praryers and thoughts are with Beth & Steve and the kids. Those three little smiles can brighten anyone's day. You are all just so amazing!
Many Blessings,
Mrs. Debbie (room 3 at the Teddy Bear School)
Great news Beth! I'm so happy that this time your return home seems to have a better result! What a tough cookie you are. Keep hanging in there and remember to take it easy and take baby steps.
That is wonderful news Beth. As much as I like Burritos, I don't know if I could have eaten one after what you went through. You are amazing. I just have one question. Did it have hot sauce on it??? Even though I haven't met Steve, I think he's pretty amazing too. Tell him I've been praying for him as well as you. I'm thanking God for every bit of good news I hear, and for Burritos, too.
Love and prayers to you all.
Beth, Kat and I were laughing about the fact that you didn't have any solid food for so long and the first thing you go for is a burrito. Anyone else would be going for a little apple sauce or some other appropriately soft meal but not our Beth. I just want to know, that was a vegan burrito, right?

Hey Beth and Steve, I just have to say I am amazed, over and over, by the both of you. If I was ever in a fight I would sure want you on my side! Beth, to look at you, your jovial smile and your skinny little frame...I couldn't believe you could be tough enough to be a cop...but now, dang!!! I wouldn't underestimate you again. This cancer should FEAR YOU!!! So, glad you are home again with our babies! Love to you all! Janet PS: This blog is great...I can keep updated without bugging you! Thanks again for the info updates.
Beth,
Hang on girl like you already have. Obviously you and Steve and the family are much stronger than all of us. I explained the blog to Brock and Nicole ...now they can sync it with all the prayers. Burritos rock, great choice. Love you all tremendously. Keeping the faith that our prayer of total healing will be delivered. Love to you all.

Awesome news! Hang in there, Beth. As you are well aware, nothing in life happens on our time, so be patient and listen to that husband of yours. I heard something on the radio the other day that made me think of you. They were talking about having faith & trusting in God..."we live on promises, not explanations." I'm so glad you're feeling better. I had to laugh at Uncle Bob's post because I thought the same thing about a burrito being the 1st thing you ate after going for so long with no solid food. You are amazing. Keep fighting. We continue to pray for you, your family & your recovery every day. Love, Susan
Beth hang in there! You can do it girl! Just hold on and GOD will help you! Your strong enough, you can do it I know you can!
Love,
